  Kigurumi Mini-Gallery

These are photographs of the Sailor Starlights as portrayed in some kigurumi shows. "Kigurumi" is a type of live performance in which actors dress up in the costumes of cartoon characters, but it's not exactly cosplay, per se... As you can see from the photos below, kigurumi actors usually don headpieces or masks, so that they are entirely covered in a costume, literally from head to toe.

Sailor Moon kigurumi shows have been popular in Japan since the anime first aired in the early 90's. Unfortunately, characters like the Outer Senshi and the Sailor Starlights rarely appear in kigurumi shows, if at all.
