Sera Myu Actresses
Here is some essential information about the six very brave and very beautiful actresses who portrayed the Sailor Starlights on stage. For more images of the lovely actresses, please visit the Sera Myu Actresses Gallery.
Katayama Sayuri
![]() |
Birthdate: 03 July 1979 Katayama Sayuri acted as Seiya Kou / Sailor Starfighter in the musicals from 1996 to 1998. Since acting in the musicals, she has also appeared in TV dramas, commercials, and most recently, on the pop music scene. In 2004, she released her first and so far only pop album, Chaos. Since then, her singing career seems to have fizzled, although she is credited as the lyricist for the song "Nostalgia" on Mizuki Nana's 2007 pop album Great Activity, as well as Nana's 2008 single "Starcamp EP." The above profile dates from 1997, but until recently you could see her more recent profile (dated June 2004) on her page at Nigun Niiba studios, although unfortunately Nigun Niiba no longer lists Katayama Sayuri as a member on their website, as of this writing. Anyway, guess what? By 2004, Sayuri-san apparently lost weight and grew an inch taller. Stardom will do that to you. In 2008, her updated profile was also posted on her Japanese Wikipedia entry. |
Ono Hikari
![]() |
Nick-Name: Hii The above profile is (partially) translated by Ferret. Ono Hikari has had a long career starring on the Japanese stage. She acted for over a decade in various musicals, including Little Shop of Horrors and Tale of Genji, before she appeared in her first Sera Myu musical. She acted as Hawk's Eye in the revised SuperS musical, and as Taiki
Kou / Sailor Starmaker during the remaining First Stage musicals. She returned to act as Hawk's Eye again, and as Roof Mellow, and as Vampiru, in the
later musicals. During the summer of 2001, she performed as Prince Demando in the first of the Fourth Stage musicals. After Sera Myu, she has appeared in numerous other stage musicals, including the three Ninja Yell musicals, Red Shoes Black Stockings, and about a dozen others. This page lists all of her stage roles, up to the summer of 2007, as of this writing. In 2008, she starred in the musical WILDe BEAUTY. |
Okuyama Momoko
![]() |
Birthdate: January 19, 1974 Okuyama Momoko acted as Yaten Kou / Sailor Starhealer in the musicals from 1996 to 1998. She also appeared in the musicals Masaka no Chance, Mannequine, Holy Night, Me and My Girl, and Peter Pan. As of 2008, she is teaching jazz dance at Mariart Studios. Okuyama has professionally choreographed concerts for a diverse group of performers, including Daichi Mao and SMAP. |
Akiyama Chinatsu
![]() |
Birthdate: 13 July 1983 Akiyama Chinatsu started out as Mistress 9 in the winter 2003 musical, then went on to act in the role of Seiya Kou / Sailor Starfighter in the summer 2003 and winter 2004 musicals. In 2005, Chinatsu Akiyama starred in a play Girl's Knight. Former seramyu actor Jun Kanzaki (Kern and Death Pa) and actress Miho Yokoi (Sailor Pluto) were also in the play. In the summer of 2006, she performed in the musical Me and My Girl, and in the fall of 2006 starred in a musical called Trickery Teacher and the Swindler. Her musical career has been going strong since then, with her roles in 2007's Tsubasa wo Hirageru Megami-tachi, and 2008's revival of Trickery Teacher and the Swindler. She has also appeared in the NHK television dramas Sumire no Hanasaku-goro and Kiyoshi to Kono Yoru. At the time of the 2003 Sera Myu musicals, she was represented by Prestige Model Management. As of this writing (summer 2008), she is affiliated with the somewhat more prestigious Mariart Studios, along with fellow Myu Starlights alum Okuyama Momoko. |
Nakayama Akiko
![]() |
Birth date: December 2, 1986 Nakayama Akiko has acted as Taiki Kou / Sailor Starmaker in the summer 2003 and winter 2004 musicals, and as Sailor Uranus in the 2004 summer musical. As of spring 2006 she was acting in a series of Japanese musicals called Go! Jet! Go! Go!, which I know basically nothing about. Since then, I'm honestly not sure what she's been up to. She seems to have fallen off the face of the internet, save for her blog, which is mostly about food, shopping, and asking for manga recommendations. |
Tabe Mikako
![]() |
Birthdate: 25 January, 1989 Tabe Mikako, of course, played the part of Yaten Kou in the summer 2003 and winter 2004 Sera Myu musicals. She has also acted in TV dramas, and commercials. Currently she seems to be enjoying a very successful career as a movie actress. She had a starring role in the short film Tokyo Kiki Ippatsu (produced by 68Films), which seems to have launched her career starring in theatrical movies including Hinokio, Aozora no Yukue ("Way of the Blue Sky"), Yoru no Picnic, Route 225, GOYA Chanburu, Ore wa, Kimi no Tame ni Soshini ni Iku ("I Would Die for You"), Saiyuki, Yasuko to Kenji, and Fish Story. She has also appeared in numerous television dramas, specials, and commercials. In 2005 she won the 48th Blue Ribbon Award for best Rookie from the Tokyo Film Reporters Association, for her performances in Hinokio and Aozora no Yukue. As of summer 2008 her movie career is still going strong! |
Special Guest Actresses!
In the summer 2004 Sera Myu Fan Event ("Fankan"), Starmaker and Starhealer were played by two guest actresses! Kawasaki Miki, who has played villians (including Kunzite) in 15 musicals, was Maker. Endo Ado, who has played villians in no less than 24 musicals, was Healer. Tabe Mikako was also a special guest at the event, but apparently did not get into costume as Healer. Here are some pictures of Miki and Ado in costume:
